On the day of his third straight NBA Finals look, 2K Sports have announced that Kyrie Irving might be the cover athlete from the upcoming NBA 2K18 video game.
2K Sports paired the announcement to coincide with all the opening of pre-orders for the game that will be released on September 19.
“I’m an avid player of this series, and I’m honored to become the cover athlete of NBA 2K18,” Irving mentioned in 2K’s press release. “It’s surreal to be featured on the cover, and I cannot wait to dominate around the virtual court with all of my fans this fall.”
Kyrie will now grow to be one of four NBA 2K18 MT players who have graced the cover of each NBA 2K and it really is EA Sports competitor NBA Reside. Kyrie was the cover player for NBA Reside 2013.
The other players who have achieved this feat are Kevin Durant, Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Garnett.
A handful of weeks ago, Shaq was already announced as the cover athlete for the NBA 2K18 Legends edition that’s packed with added extras.
